Viewing Nights....... Just for you!

As we visit your town we set up at a nearby dark sky site, well away from lights and traffic, here you assemble just after dark for an introduction to our program for that evening, this allows you to ask us for any special requests, things you may like to see that you always wanted to but never had the chance, it's our aim to please, it's your night.
We explain how the Telescope works, the eyepieces have soft rubber eyecups so there are no worries (glasses are OK). Then we give a short intro on "tonight's sky", pointing out various items along the way, we tell you about any Dream time legends that apply to the sky this season and without further hesitation we begin Viewing through the telescope,... It's about seeing with your own eyes, there are no monitors... you see what the Astronomers see!

Depending on the group size we may set up extra telescopes, so there is plenty of time to take in the view and even time for another look ( we encourage visitors to ask to "Re-view" anything at the end of the show if they really just have to see that thing again! ).
Ask lots of questions, have a great night out under the stars!

The show runs for 90 minutes ( officially and depending on the pace, 2 hours is common... ) there is extra viewing after if desired.

Back to start...

All astronomy nights are subject to local weather patterns, clouds and what's in the sky at the time.(Refund policy applies ask for details.) Also the moon phase plays a significant part in all star-gazing nights, on nights of full moon and up to 7 days before and a few days after, most faint objects are lost in the lunar glow. Such nights will focus more attention on the planets and the moon itself. Bookings can be timed so deep sky objects ( galaxies, faint Nebula, comets, etc. ) can be studied or timing may allow for a lunar based experience....our guides are flexible and informed and will provide the best possible overview of what's available on the night.....
